The modular drilling system FCA with 3 controlled axes is the development of the FCN modular range. The FCA system is ideal to satisfy the requirements of carpenters’ shops and machine-shops to carry out drilling, threading and milling operations on long and heavy parts.

The use of a third controlled axis equipped with a vectorial motor allows to increase considerably the milling capacity and to manage in the best way the various production cycles, increasing the operative autonomy of the machine maintaining unchanged the great qualities of versatility, strength and easiness in using this system.

Modules FC being 2000, 4000 or 6000 mm long can be connected to the basic modules FCA 4000 M and 6000 M equipped with a motor-driven worktable.

Movement linearity and accuracy are ensured by guideways with pre-loaded rollers and a pinion-rack system tempered and rectified with a device of clearance recovery.

The CNC with management software in Windows environment which acts as an interface operator and allows to fully move the axes with manual controls and to fully program any work cycle in ISO code (the standard language for the machines tools) and it enables to visualise the graphic of the programmed profiles.

A PLC integrated in the CNC allows to manage the signal of incidental devices and/or additional actuators.

All axes are moved by brushless motors controlled by digital driving units able to obtain a resolution of 0.01 mm and an accuracy of +/- 0.10 mm of the whole system.
